Community Involvement
Here at ServiceMaster Restoration by Zaba, we’re proud of our deep roots in the Chicago community. We’re a family-owned business, and all our employees make their homes right here. Many of us were born and raised in Chicagoland. We believe it’s important to volunteer our time and share our resources. Together, we can all help our local community thrive and grow. We’re honored to call Chicago home.
We’re Proud Sponsors of Local Organizations, Initiatives and Events
Over the years, we’ve enjoyed being involved in local efforts that make our city a better place to live and work. Part of our outreach includes providing ongoing education focused on disaster preparedness and safety. Most recently, we’ve worked with these great organizations.
Givology Chicago
This wonderful program is part of a global organization run completely by volunteers. Their tireless efforts help build school libraries, train teachers and fund lunch programs. Most importantly, Givology connects students around the world with grassroots educational opportunities. ServiceMaster by Zaba currently sponsors a young girl’s education in India, through the hard work of Givology Chicago.
Illinois Fire Safety Alliance
We sponsored the Safety Alliance’s 2019 Family Day. The special occasion is dedicated to burn survivors and celebrates their courage with a family day full of fun and food. This year, attendees enjoyed a Peoria Chiefs baseball game, all-you-can-eat buffet and a fireworks show.
American Red Cross of Chicago and Northern Illinois
The 2019 Red Cross Classic was a real hit this June. While the main action takes place on the golf course, the annual event also featured a silent auction which we were very proud to sponsor. This year’s Classic raised more than $250,000 for Red Cross of Chicago.
Chicago Chapter of the National Step Up Program
This non-profit provides young girls from under-resourced communities with opportunities to realize their full potential. Our co-founder, Diana Rodriguez-Zaba, is an active board member as well as a dedicated mentor. She is very fortunate to be able to share her experiences with young girls who want to open their own businesses some day.
Niles Food Pantry
Overcoming hunger is an important battle we all can fight. Niles Food Pantry helps make it possible through their ongoing efforts, and they really appreciate support from surrounding neighborhoods. We regularly do all we can to keep the shelves stocked and the doors open.
Miracle Center of Chicago’s Performing Arts Program
For more than 20 years, the Miracle Center has given our area’s youth a performance platform that blends academics and creativity. The Center’s work makes a positive difference with an outreach that touches young people across the city. We’re very proud to sponsor this year-round after-school program.
Skokie Adopt a Block
The best way to beautify a village is to take care of it block by block. That’s the idea behind Skokie’s Adopt a Block initiative, and we’re happy to do our part. All of us here pitch in on a regular basis to keep Howard Street looking its best. Diana sums it up. “We’re really grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community.”
